  3. Unzip the file into your Age of Empires II Installation folder (typically C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Age of Empires II\) (example picture)

  5. Click Install

  1. I don’t know why i’m doing wrong. I tried installing it your way and my AoC kept loading, so i tried placing it somewhere else, tried renaming, and yet still cant get your expansion to load. any suggestions?

  2. got a little problem : i only see one scenario campaign and everytime i finish it, i see older custom campaign (which din’t appeared while lauching the game, (second bug)).
I still found the other scenario but only while playing a standard game but there were no objectives.

    Thanks for the reply

    • We only included one scenario at this time as a teaser. Next scenario’s for the Alaric campaign will follow with next updates. We will also add the Sforza campaign and later on a Byzantine campaign. So now worries! :)

What is the second scenario you are referring to btw? (afaik there is no second)

      • well, the thing is that i installed other custom campaigns and they disappeared when i launched forgotten empires (and i forgot to play them so i thought it came with forgotten empire).
But, when i finish the Alaric scenario, the others come back.
Also there seems to be some problem with the introduction video and microsoft logo: it say’s “video unavailable missing compressor vids:IV50″

  3. Hi! Congratulations for the public release of the AoFE! It’s an excellent add to the game so far. But I, particulary, have a problem with the gameplay… It’s there some way to set the keyboard shortcuts to the originals AoC values? Has been almost 15 years of my life using “V” and “B” to enter the construction options (example), and now they are on “A” and “S”! I agree that they are easy to change on game options, but there’s a ton of them and that means big & hard work to someone like me :-/
Sorry if my english is too bad. I’m From Argentina so this isn’t my native tongue.
    Thanks for your time!

    • I don’t think you can change it back to the conquerors key shortcuts in like one click because there is a new building, the palisade gate so the shortcuts have to be different and I played deathmatch yesterday and lol i pressed “c” like ten times and it didn’t create villager and yeah you have to do them manually

    • Try this (posted on the facebook by Fotis):

      After installation:
1)Run Age of Empires 2 Conquerors
2)go to hotkeys and reset them, that will reset to the original ones
3)run Forgotten empires after and they should be the default.

However, I would advise you to give the new ones a chance. Maybe they fit you better?
