13 years. It’s been 13 years since the release of Age of Mythology on PC. And 12 years since the release of its expansion pack: The Titans. But for great games like Age of Mythology, these years are merely a number. It’s time for a new expansion pack! With the collective experience and with expansions for the Age of Empires II series, Age of Mythology almost feels like the next logical step, although next time we probably shouldn’t wait over a decade before taking on the challenge 😉
Many of you already guessed it after the sneaky teaser at E3 and a lot of speculation has been seen across the community boards, but now the word is officially out: Age of Mythology: Tale of the Dragon is being created by Forgotten Empires and SkyBox Labs and will be the next part in the legendary series.
Many players take Viagra, but you need to correctly calculate the dose and buy only high-quality generic Viagra.

Maybe Sumerians, Babylonians, Romans, Celts, Persians, Mayans, Zapotecs Teotihuacans, Olmecs, Koreans, Japaneses or Aboriginal Australians.
All them, all them *O*
Way better than the titan atlants, that was a bit lame idea for me :C
The Christians and Muslims should be good as well, the only problem is that wil bring enormous problems with the religious authorities
Abrahamic religions are all monoteist. They don’t belong this game.
Maybe you can put Yahve, Jesus and the Holy spirit as major gods in christanity.
but that cant happen in islam or judaism.
Catholicism believe in saints, and all the Christians and Hebrews believe in angels, they could be the “gods”
Also, the Hebrews were, indeed, politehistic before Moses time. They even don’t pray for Yahve, but El
catholicism is monothestic
They’d like to believe that, but they’re not.
Not even kind of.
The number of major deities and minor deities in the Abrahamic religions is absurd.
Muslims also believe in angels. the same angels Christians and Hebrews believes (Gabriel, Rafael, Miguel etc.) Actually the 3 religions are pretty much the same. They believe in the same god (Yahve, Jehova, Elohim, Ala are all different words for the same god) Yes the god from the Tora, New Testament and Quran seems differents sometime but is actually the same. Hebrews weren’t polytheistic before moses. Their religion as well as Christian and Muslim born with Abraham and were monotheist since then. There are some episodes where they lost faith or worship foreigns gods such as the sumerians or canaanites… Read more »
There is no evidence at all that Hebrews were politheistic before the coming of Moses…. Most of those so-called “evidences” are based on mere conjecures and misinterpretations,
Also, the abrahamic “mythology” could bring some great units. Angels, demons, vampires, djinns, the Leviahtan (although it’s a Egyptian unit already :P)
Hebrews could be added as a different civilization in the game because they were monotheists. They could have one God only. There is much information in the Old Testament to create a campaign.
The real (and obvious) problem of adding any modern religion is that, well, by adding them in Age of Mythology, you’ll be calling those religions… mythology! This would just make the followers of those religions see the game as blasphemy and boycott it.
I am a christian myself and I would find it offensive seeing my religion portrayed in such way. And I’m pretty sure that most of the followers of the modern religions would feel in the same way.
Christian mythology is one of the most boring myhtologies anyways. It’s just loads of stuff ripped off from a bunch of other mythologies, and somehow made less interesting.
The Indus Valley Civ and Hebrews too
Maybe tengriism ?
Add Celts and Slavs too plz 😀
That would take more time to do (about x3 the time, and it wouldn’t be released until October of 2018)
pls more population
Yes the 300 now is way tooo low for some maps, id love to play around with 500+ units.
Instabuy
That screenshot reminds me a lot of rise of nations
Would I be able to buy this as a standalone or should I buy an Age of Mythology copy and the first expansion?
YES!!! YES!!!! YESSS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I HAVE BEEN WAITING SO LONG! 100s PROBABLY 1000s of hours of playing and now MORE! <3
When are you going to be making a new Age of Empries game instead of all these expansions?
A new game would be far better than a bunch of expansions to old ones. Give us a good ol’ fashioned real “Age of” game. One made on hardware released within the past decade, with all the fun from the other games that we’ve come to know and love. (you include heavy uses of gunpowder and we will hurt you).
They don’t have the resources for making new age of games, that and the Forgotten Empires Team and Skybox Labs are separate groups.
But they do have the resources to make two separate expansion packs for two separate games, both of which the FE team is working on?
Take the two teams, put them together, and put out a new game. That’s more than enough manpower, and Microsoft already has plenty of engines and modelers that can help them.
While I would love to see an AoE4, what would be the timeframe of this game? There is already an AoE based on the ancient age (AoE1), on the middle ages (AoE2), and on the discovery age (AoE3). What would be the next step?
People didn’t like AoE 3 because it didn’t take place in the discovery age. It was an OK standalone game, but a bad Age game. That’s why their expansions didn’t I clue gunpowder. They made a good age game in AoE: O. They have the power.
Given that Age Of Empires 3 and Age Of Empires Online sucked, and AoE2 and AoM are awesome, I find the premise of your claims to be unlikely.
They weren’t bad.
Age 3 just wasn’t a good age game, and AoEO was lacklustre due to how it’s Vs. Rewarded players who had bought the game. As a whole, thr game was good. It did poorly because of how they chose for the game to function.
They can make a good swords-and-arrows Age game again, and they have all the tools and manpower to do so.
So do it.
I would love to see an expansion using the Sumerian religion. It’s a diverse and distinct enough pantheon that it could work well in that regard, and it makes sense geographically too, since Mesopotamia is between greece and egypt north-south wise, and slightly to the east. The people there definitely would have been interacting with the greeks and egyptians, much more likely than the chinese or even the norse from the original game. since the original campaign took place during the trojan war, it would have been around roughly 1200 BC, towards the end of the original Bablyonian empire, who… Read more »
They could have Ziggurats for temples
